Is the Nashville Predators Shea Weber Heading to the Flyers?

All-star defenseman Shea Weber has agreed to an offer sheet with the Philadelphia Flyers reportedly worth over $100-million for 14 years. According to reports from TSN, the Nashville Predators were working on a trade for Weber with the Flyers, but the Flyers grew weary of the process and decided to tenure an offer sheet to Weber. Now the Predators have 1 week to decide whether to match the offer from the Flyers or take a compensation package that would net them four first-round picks. This seems like a real breaking point for the Predators who have had some good teams over the past 3 seasons and appeared to be close to putting together a real contender, until Ryan Suter decided to leave for the Minnesota Wild earlier this month as a free agent. Now with the potential loss of Weber, Nashville might be in the process of rebuilding the franchise. Of course, they still have the option of matching the Flyers offer to Weber and then trading him but now they will have to decide what is best for their short and long term outlook.
